Quality Assurance Technician (Part-Time) | Manufacturing

Nexeo is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support ongoing production and quality efforts with one of our manufacturing clients. This part-time role plays a key part in ensuring products meet established quality and safety standards through routine inspections, documentation, and collaboration with production teams.

The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working a flexible, non-traditional schedule in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications

• Accurately document inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions in quality logs and systems

• Support production teams by identifying quality issues and escalating concerns promptly to leadership or QA management

• Follow and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety procedures, and company quality policies

• Conduct basic testing, sampling, and measurements using standard QA tools and equipment

• Assist with investigations related to non-conforming product and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment

• Work flexible and non-standard hours, including overnight and weekend shifts, to support production needs

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a manufacturing environment preferred

• Basic understanding of GMPs, quality procedures, and inspection processes

• Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation skills

• Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and quality standards

• Comfortable working independently during off-shift hours with minimal supervision

• Basic computer skills for documentation, reporting, and data entry

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Flexible availability to work a non-traditional schedule, including overnight and weekend hours

Pay Rate

$17.00 – $18.00 per hour (DOE)
