Nexeo is looking for a Senior Estimator to support a leading steel fabrication and erection company in North Las Vegas. This firm specializes in structural steel, metal building systems, and large-scale commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects. If you’re a seasoned estimator with deep subcontractor experience — steel, concrete, drywall, roofing, framing, or similar scopes — this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact role.
This position is ideal for someone who prides themselves on accuracy, field awareness, and the understanding that "a missed scope on paper becomes a problem in the field." You’ll work closely with the Preconstruction Manager, serve as a key voice in bid strategy, and help mentor the next generation of estimators.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze drawings, plans, and specifications with expert-level precision.
Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates across multiple construction scopes.
Perform thorough quantity take-offs and identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
Develop professional, polished bid proposals and support client communication.
Act as a Quality Control step on all bids — ensuring accuracy, constructability, and alignment with field operations.
Mentor junior estimators and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
10+ years of subcontractor estimating experience (structural steel strongly preferred).
Proven abilities in detailed take-offs, cost analysis, and competitive bidding.
Strong plan-reading skills and proficiency with estimating software.
A reputation for precision, accountability, and integrity.
Natural leadership skills with the ability to support and mentor junior estimators.
Pay Rate
$84,000.00
