Human Resources Generalist
Nexeo is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations at a manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with the HR Manager and supports all functional areas of Human Resources, including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and HR projects. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and is passionate about process improvement and enhancing the employee experience.
Responsibilities
• Support all functional areas of Human Resources, including benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations, and policy interpretation.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, safety, environmental, quality, security, and employment regulations.
• Manage employee leaves of absence, including Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, and STD/LTD tracking.
• Conduct new hire orientations and educate employees on benefit plans and enrollment.
• Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and act as a liaison with benefit carriers.
• Maintain and improve HR communications, materials, and processes related to employee benefits.
• Perform recruitment activities for hourly and temporary roles, including interviewing and candidate evaluations.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system and assist with HR reporting.
• Support compensation, performance management, and employee development programs.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Conduct exit interviews and support employee offboarding activities.
• Assist with the implementation of new HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
• Maintain organizational charts and employee rosters.
• Support HR audits and ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
• Assist with front desk coverage and ITAR compliance tasks as needed.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and special HR projects.
• Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• 2–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
• Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and applicable federal and state employment regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable presenting information to groups and facilitating orientations or trainings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, benefit plan design, and third-party administration.
Pay
$50,000–$60,000 per year
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
