Responsibilities
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals
• Work with food-grade equipment, sanitary design principles, and clean-in-place (CIP) systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams
• Apply strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills to support efficient operations
• Use creative problem-solving, autonomy, and flexibility to improve process efficiency and minimize downtime
Qualifications
• Technical degree or certification in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation within food manufacturing or another regulated processing environment
• Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and industrial networking
• Hands-on experience with automated production and packaging systems, sensors, conveyors, robotics, or vision inspection equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic controls, instrumentation, and motor drives (Mitsubishi, B&R, Tele-Mecanique, Lenze, SWE)
• Understanding of food safety regulations and standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, BRC, FDA, USDA) and ability to maintain compliance documentation
Pay
$36.00–$45.00 per hour
Schedule
TBD — must be flexible for a 24-hour operating facility
