Cherry Picker / Reach Truck Operator | Salt Lake City, UT
Nexeo HR is seeking a skilled and motivated Cherry Picker/Reach Truck Operator to join a dynamic warehouse team in the Salt Lake City area. This role is ideal for an experienced equipment operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, follows safety protocols, and takes pride in maintaining efficient and accurate warehouse operations. Candidates with experience in shuttle racking systems, sit-down forklifts, and reach trucks will excel in this position.
Responsibilities
• Safely operate forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, and shuttle racking equipment
• Load and unload goods from trucks, racks, and production lines
• Move raw materials, finished products, and inventory throughout the facility
• Stack and organize pallets properly to prevent damage and maintain safety
• Ensure all loads are stable, secure, and within weight capacity
• Track inventory movement using scanners, paperwork, or warehouse management systems
• Assist with cycle counts and stock verification
• Support general warehouse tasks including picking, packing, and sorting as needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and drivers to coordinate workflow
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues immediately
Qualifications
• Experience operating forklifts (stand-up, sit-down, reach truck) preferred
• Previous use of cherry pickers and shuttle racking equipment required
• Ability to safely maneuver equipment in tight spaces and manage various load types
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory processes
• Forklift certification (OSHA-compliant training preferred)
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, perform repetitive movements, and work in varying temperatures
• Strong hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and attention to detail
• Understanding of OSHA standards and warehouse safety procedures
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to follow instructions independently
Pay
$21.50 per hour
Schedule
Rotating Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
