Data Warehouse Administrator | Midvale, UT
Nexeo HR is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Administrator with deep Greenplum expertise to support a large-scale enterprise data environment. In this role, you’ll help maintain, optimize, and expand mission-critical data warehouse systems that power key business operations across multiple regions. Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Greenplum database software with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
• Monitor and analyze database performance to ensure high availability and efficient resource usage
• Maintain database dictionaries, support tools, and clear system documentation
• Assist in developing and maintaining long-term architectural and strategic plans for data warehouse ecosystems
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to internal teams
• Evaluate, test, and implement emerging technologies to enhance scalability and reliability
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies, including backups, replication, and continuity measures
• Define and uphold database standards, best practices, and governance processes
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule
Qualifications
• 4+ years of Greenplum DBA experience, including advanced performance tuning and SQL optimization
• Experience with Greenplum tools such as MADlib, PXF, GPCC, gpfdist, gpload, gpbackup, gprestore, gpdr backup/restore
• Strong SQL development skills within enterprise data warehouse environments
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, and UNIX/Linux (RHEL) system administration
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies
• Familiarity with ETL tools (such as IBM DataStage or equivalents)
• Automation-focused mindset for streamlining and improving database operations
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Databricks and Spark-based data processing
Pay
$70.00–$95.00 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
