Mid-Level Software Engineer (SDEV II) | Hybrid

Nexeo is seeking a talented Mid-Level Software Engineer (SDEV II) to join our engineering team. This hybrid role focuses on designing and developing scalable, high-performance systems using C# and .NET technologies. You’ll play a key role in optimizing real-time applications, enhancing system architecture, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain moderately complex features using C# and .NET Core/Framework

• Apply concurrent, multi-threaded, and asynchronous programming techniques to improve performance

• Build and maintain scalable APIs and third-party system integrations

• Use Microsoft Visual Studio for coding, debugging, and performance tuning

• Manage source control using Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub

• Work with continuous integration and build tools such as TeamCity or Azure DevOps

• Develop solutions utilizing messaging protocols (TCP, UDP, WebSockets, HTTP)

• Contribute to WPF desktop application development

• Lead and participate in code reviews; mentor junior developers

• Troubleshoot production and development issues, proposing effective fixes

• Collaborate with product managers to refine requirements and deliver robust solutions

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of professional experience in C# and .NET development

• Strong knowledge of concurrent, multi-threaded, and asynchronous programming (async/await)

• Proven experience in API development and system integrations

• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and Git-based version control

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity or Azure DevOps

• Solid understanding of networking and messaging protocols (TCP, UDP, WebSockets, HTTP)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred:

• Experience with application scaling techniques (horizontal, vertical, algorithmic)

• Familiarity with geometry, trigonometry, matrix transforms, and linear algebra

• Background in relational and time-series database design and integration

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work onsite at least one day per week (Tuesdays)

• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

• Occasional international travel (approximately once per year)

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (40–45 hours per week)
