Nexeo HR is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer for a direct-hire, onsite role supporting quality engineering, inter-discipline coordination, engineering procedures, audits, corrective action programs, and configuration management for large, complex mission-critical facilities. Ideal candidates bring experience in industrial, nuclear, oil & gas, data center, or other highly regulated facility engineering and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This 100% onsite role in Ogden, UT offers a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, relocation assistance, and long-term career growth on a major national program.
Responsibilities
• Provide quality engineering support to multi-discipline engineering teams
• Maintain engineering procedures and ensure alignment with project and corporate standards
• Review and check engineering designs, drawings, and supplier documents
• Lead quality reviews of engineering deliverable packages
• Perform engineering self-assessments and track procedure compliance
• Prepare and present quality engineering reports and metrics
• Support project surveillance, audits, and corrective action programs
• Coordinate Closed-Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) program initiatives
• Participate in Condition Report Review Committee (CRRC) meetings
• Promote positive feedback, lessons learned, and quality-driven culture
• Maintain configuration management for engineering processes
• Identify process improvements and implement corrective enhancements
• Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and client representatives
• Lead small task groups and support cross-functional engineering initiatives
Qualifications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Must pass background check & drug screening (including marijuana)
• Must have a Real ID–compliant driver’s license or state ID
• 5+ years engineering experience (mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, etc.)
• Experience supporting engineering of large industrial, nuclear, oil/gas, or mission-critical facilities
• Familiarity with engineering for construction projects
• Experience with quality assurance programs (ISO-9001 or similar)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Education requirement: High school diploma + 9+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
Desired Qualifications
• Experience reviewing or developing engineering procedures or instructions
• Familiarity with Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), EDP instructions, BSAPs
• Knowledge of quality engineering codes, standards, and methodologies
• Experience delivering training materials
• Previous Bechtel experience (direct or subcontractor)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (active, non-expired)
Pay
$100,000–$145,000 per year
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off)
