Senior Quality Engineer | Ogden, Utah
We are seeking experienced Senior Quality Engineers to join an advanced engineering team in Ogden, Utah. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across complex engineering and construction projects. The position involves supporting multidisciplinary teams, maintaining project procedures, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to uphold engineering excellence.
This is a 100% onsite position offering a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, relocation assistance for non-local candidates, and excellent work/life balance.
Responsibilities
• Support project engineering teams to ensure inter-discipline coordination and high-quality deliverables
• Maintain project engineering procedures and participate in quality and corrective action programs
• Perform complex engineering design and analysis tasks within assigned discipline
• Review and check designs, drawings, and data from other engineers or suppliers
• Coordinate quality reviews of engineering deliverable packages prior to submission
• Develop and maintain engineering procedures to align with corporate policies and industry standards
• Conduct self-assessments of engineering department compliance
• Develop and deliver training on procedures, policies, and work instructions
• Identify, prepare, and report project engineering quality metrics and trends
• Present quality reports to management and project leadership
• Participate in project quality surveillance and internal audits
• Lead Closed-Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) initiatives and represent engineering at review meetings
• Promote condition reporting and lessons-learned programs using internal quality systems
• Lead small engineering task groups and support process improvement efforts
• Communicate process changes and quality feedback to engineering teams
Qualifications
• U.S. Citizenship (required due to security regulations)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Valid, Real ID–compliant driver’s license or state-issued ID at time of hire
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening (including marijuana)
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience within an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, etc.) on large facility design projects (industrial, nuclear, oil/gas, or data centers)
• Experience with quality assurance programs such as ISO 9001
• Prior experience supporting engineering for construction or infrastructure projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Education
• High School Diploma or GED with 9+ years of relevant experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (current/unexpired)
• Experience reviewing and analyzing engineering procedures and instructions
• Familiarity with Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), EDP Instructions (EDPIs), and design standards
• Knowledge of quality engineering codes and standards
• Experience developing and presenting training materials
• Prior experience supporting large-scale engineering or construction projects
Pay
$100,000 – $145,000 per year (DOE)
Schedule
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 9x80 Work Schedule (Every Other Friday Off)
