Senior MEP Designer (Direct Hire)

Nexeo HR is hiring a Senior MEP Designer for a direct-hire, onsite role supporting large-scale mission-critical facility design and advanced industrial infrastructure. This position focuses on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design, 3D modeling, and multidisciplinary coordination for complex industrial facilities, underground structures, and highly engineered environments. Candidates with experience in HVAC system design, ducting, equipment selection, SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, or Revit are strongly encouraged to apply. This full-time onsite role offers a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, relocation support, and the opportunity to contribute to a major national modernization program.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC and MEP system designs, 3D models, and equipment layouts

• Create drawings, schematics, ductwork layouts, and flow diagrams for complex facilities

• Prepare accurate design documentation and support internal and client design reviews

• Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, and system configuration

• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural engineering teams

• Integrate MEP designs into SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and related design platforms

• Resolve design conflicts and ensure alignment with project requirements and industry codes

• Support field coordination, design verification, redlines, and development of as-builts

• Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and compliance standards

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (required for facility access)

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

• Experience designing HVAC and MEP systems (ducting, sheet metal, piping, equipment layout)

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D, Revit, or similar design tools

• Strong understanding of mechanical and MEP design fundamentals

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (including marijuana)

• Real ID–compliant driver’s license or state-issued ID required

• High school diploma or GED (experience prioritized for senior-level MEP roles)

Pay

$100,000 – $140,000 DOE

Full-Time | Direct Hire | 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
