Nexeo is seeking an experienced Shop Manager with a deep passion for classic cars and pre-1994 vehicles. This role blends hands-on mechanical expertise with team leadership and operational oversight. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in carbureted and traditional mechanical systems, thrives in a restoration environment, and is driven to enhance shop efficiency, quality, and productivity through strong processes and leadership.

Responsibilities

•    Perform mechanical work on vintage and specialty vehicles, including carbureted engines and classic restorations.

•    Diagnose, repair, and maintain pre-1994 vehicles with precision and attention to detail.

•    Oversee daily shop operations, including scheduling, quality control, and parts inventory.

•    Develop and implement organizational systems to streamline workflow and increase efficiency.

•    Lead, train, and mentor technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and professional development.

•    Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction and transparency.

•    Maintain safety standards, shop cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.

•    Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth coordination across departments.

Qualifications

•    Minimum 5 years of automotive technician experience, focused on vehicles manufactured before 1994.

•    Extensive knowledge of carburetors, ignition systems, and mechanical fuel delivery systems.

•    Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical issues.

•    Previous supervisory or shop management experience preferred.

•    Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.

•    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical shop duties.

•    Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay

$35.00–$45.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-time | 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
