Quality and Food Safety Coordinator | Salt Lake City, Utah

Nexeo HR is hiring a Quality and Food Safety Coordinator for a leading, innovative food manufacturing company in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting and maintaining world-class food safety and quality systems, including FSSC22000 compliance. You’ll collaborate across departments, contribute to ongoing process improvements, and help ensure the company meets the highest standards in food safety and production integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety Management System (QMS).

• Gather, complete, and maintain required templates and documentation for FSSC22000 compliance.

• Organize files and maintain document control within SharePoint and other digital systems.

• Provide weekly progress updates on document completion and compliance projects.

• Identify gaps in current practices, escalate barriers, and assist with corrective action plans.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, Operations, HR, and Leadership teams to enhance QMS programs.

• Assist with internal audits, inspections, and food safety or quality-related initiatives.

• Perform additional tasks as directed by the Quality & Food Safety leadership team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in food manufacturing or the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

• Strong understanding of GFSI standards, particularly FSSC22000.

• Familiarity with HACCP, FDA, FSMA, and GMP regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint with strong documentation and organization skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work cross-functionally.

• GFSI certifications required (PCQI and Auditor Certification preferred).

• Proven experience conducting gap assessments against food safety standards.

• Knowledge of food safety regulatory agencies and compliance practices.

• Passion for maintaining safety, quality, and a positive workplace culture.

Pay

$40.00 - $50.00 Per Hour

Schedule

7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Some flexibility before or after
