Electrical Engineer (Junior / Mid-Level / Senior) | Ogden, UT
Nexeo is hiring Electrical Engineers (Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior levels) to join our team in Ogden, UT. This role offers the opportunity to design, analyze, and document electrical systems, including generation, distribution, and control systems, while collaborating with multi-discipline teams to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
This onsite position offers a 9x80 work schedule, paid overtime, and relocation support for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop electrical systems supporting infrastructure projects
• Prepare electrical design drawings, including one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel schedules, and cable block diagrams
• Conduct electrical system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, arc flash, and cable thermal ratings using ETAP
• Perform lighting design and calculations using AGI 32
• Size and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, panelboards, UPS systems, surge protective devices, and batteries
• Develop and maintain equipment and material specifications using SpecsIntact and CSI MasterFormat standards
• Review and integrate vendor and supplier data into electrical design packages
• Coordinate design requirements with systems engineering, clients, and multi-discipline teams
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC), ANSI/IEEE, NEMA, and other applicable standards
• Mentor and guide junior engineers (Mid-Level/Senior levels)
• Support project schedules, maintain design quality, and ensure documentation accuracy
• Lead complex projects and provide technical oversight (Senior-level)
• Review and approve design deliverables for compliance with internal and national standards (Senior-level)
Qualifications
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• Valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state-issued ID
• Ability to complete pre-employment background check and drug screening, including marijuana testing
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience (Junior) / 7–10 years (Mid-Level) / 10+ years including project leadership (Senior)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and ETAP
• Familiarity with SmartPlant 3D, AGI 32, SETROUTE, and SpecsIntact preferred
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, ANSI/IEEE, NEMA, and other applicable standards
• Experience with power system analysis, equipment sizing, and design documentation
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
• Experience with ISO-9000 quality assurance programs (preferred)
• Experience with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) standards (preferred)
• Experience designing cathodic protection systems, relay coordination, and Arc Flash analysis (preferred)
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
Pay
$115,000 – $180,000 DOE
