Nexeo is hiring a Civil Engineer in Ogden, Utah to join the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) team supporting a major defense infrastructure program. As a Civil Engineer, you will develop grading, road, and foundation designs, perform calculations, review vendor documentation, and coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, compliant design deliverables. This is an onsite role with paid overtime, a 9x80 schedule, and relocation support for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

•   Develop grading, backfill, and foundation designs, and prepare corresponding drawings.

•   Design roads and generate related documentation.

•   Assist with boring oversight, site inspections, and review of existing facilities.

•   Perform formal engineering calculations and prepare design documentation.

•   Review vendor and subcontractor information for integration into project designs.

•   Execute tasks according to schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.

•   Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.

•   Apply industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Bechtel corporate design guides.

Qualifications

•   U.S. Citizenship (required due to facility security requirements).

•   Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

•   Valid, Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state-issued ID.

•   Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening (including marijuana testing).

•   5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.

•   Proficiency in Microsoft Office, VISIO, and standard engineering software.

•   Strong written and verbal communication skills.

•   Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory guides, and Bechtel corporate procedures.

•   Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

•  Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil Engineering.

•   Experience with ISO-9000 quality assurance programs.

•   Prior experience with government or defense-related projects.

•   Proficiency in Revit and/or InRoads for civil design.

•   Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat or SpecsIntact.

•   Experience with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG).

•   Field experience with complex excavation and construction projects.

•   Master of Science in Civil or related Engineering discipline.

Pay

$100,000–$130,000 per year
