QA Supervisor | Clearfield, UT


Nexeo HR is hiring a skilled QA Supervisor for a full-time, direct-hire role with a respected manufacturing partner in Clearfield, UT. Responsibilities

•    Supervise and lead the Quality Assurance (QA) department, including QA Auditors and QC Inspectors

•    Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and internal standards

•    Oversee inspection of incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards

•    Implement and manage the facility’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements

•    Conduct audits and inspections; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions

•    Maintain document control systems for all quality-related documentation

•    Manage and maintain calibration programs for tools, gauges, and production equipment

•    Monitor and report on quality metrics and performance, including statistical analysis of production data

•    Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate QA team members to ensure optimal performance

•    Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards, including ISO, UL, and ETL

•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling) to ensure product quality and timely delivery

•    Coordinate and support customer audits and certification activities

•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies

•    Serve as the Quality Representative for internal and external audits

•    Enforce safety, quality, and productivity priorities throughout the facility


Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in welding-based manufacturing environments

•    At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control roles

•    Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a QA/QC environment

•    Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or active AWS D1.1 knowledge highly preferred

•    Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, compliance, and documentation

•    Proficient in reading and interpreting complex fabrication and engineering drawings

•    Familiarity with UL, ETL, or other industry certifications is a plus

•    Experience using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies; certification preferred

•    Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

•    Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across departments and at all levels

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

•    Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus


Pay

$90,000 – $100,000 per year


Schedule

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Day Shift
