Fabrication Supervisor | Hyde Park, UT

Nexeo is hiring a skilled Fabrication Supervisor to lead a small team in a heavy custom fabrication environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on welding experience, strong leadership abilities, and the confidence to interpret blueprints and manage complex welding projects. You'll oversee a team of 4–5 welders and serve as both a leader and quality assurance inspector. This is a full-time, day-shift position with relocation support available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of 4–5 welders in daily operations

• Stage and coordinate welding projects by reading blueprints, laying out parts, and aligning with engineering

• Step in to weld as needed to meet deadlines or provide coverage

• Inspect welds and ensure all work meets quality, safety, and customer standards

• Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams

• Monitor production goals and adjust plans to maintain efficiency and on-time delivery

• Lead daily production meetings and promote a positive, productive work culture

• Train and mentor team members, including onboarding new hires and certifying welders

• Manage preventive maintenance schedules for welding equipment and machinery

• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies

• Assist with hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed

Qualifications

• Proven welding experience, ideally in heavy fabrication and custom manufacturing

• Familiarity with stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals

• Strong leadership and team supervision experience

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and coordinating fabrication projects

• High attention to detail with a focus on weld quality and compliance

• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement

• MRP system experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a regular basis

• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs as required

• Ability to safely operate industrial machinery, forklifts, and fabrication equipment

• Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor environments and around heavy machinery

• Clear verbal and visual communication skills required for safety and coordination

Pay

$27.00 - $33.00 Per Hour

Schedule

Day Shift | Monday – Thursday 4x10 | 6:00am – 4:30pm
