Steel Yard Laborer | Las Vegas, NV
Nexeo HR is hiring a Steel Yard Laborer (Outdoor/Heavy Lifting) to join a leading steel distribution team, located on the northeast side of Las Vegas. This role involves working in an outdoor yard environment, prepping and moving heavy steel beams for shipment. If you're reliable, enjoy physical labor, and are comfortable working in all weather conditions, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Move steel beams from storage racks to the prep area
- Position beams across warehouse supports for crane lifts
- Perform heavy lifting (50–75 lbs regularly)
- Work safely in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind)
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Assist with material staging, loading, and inventory
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and follow instructions
Qualifications
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs on a regular basis
- Willing to learn crane operation and other equipment procedures
- Strong attendance, dependability, and positive team attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in extreme conditions
- Must wear required safety gear: steel toe boots, comfortable work attire (jeans & tshirt). A hard hat, and high-visibility vest will be provided.
- Preferred Experience (not required):
- General construction, labor, or warehouse background
- Experience handling materials or working in a steel/lumber yard
- Crane operation experience (training available for the right candidate)
Pay
$20.00 Per Hour
Schedule
Swing Shift | Monday – Friday | 12:00PM – 8:30PM
Initial Training Shift | Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (First 2 Weeks)
