Construction Steel Welder & Ironworker | Cedar City, UT

Nexeo HR is hiring Construction Steel Welders & Ironworkers for a structural steel company based in Cedar City, UT. This full-time opportunity involves both shop and field work in a team-oriented environment that values craftsmanship, safety, and precision. Ideal candidates have experience in welding, fabrication, or steel erection and are looking to grow within a reputable and expanding company.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical plans
• Cut, fit, weld, and assemble structural steel components in accordance with project specs
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, torches, and plasma cutters
• Safely operate cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
• Install structural steel components including beams, columns, joists, and decking
• Use tablets or digital tracking tools to log quality checks and project progress
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant worksite
• Work closely with team members and foremen to complete tasks on schedule

Qualifications

• 1+ year of welding, fabrication, or structural ironwork experience preferred
• Certified in FCAW 3G or SMAW 3G/4G welding (or able to certify)
• Familiar with AWS D1.1 welding standards
• Ability to read tape measures and technical blueprints
• Skilled with hand and power tools
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Basic computer or tablet skills (Excel, Google Sheets)
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and a team player

Pay 

$16.00 - $24.00 Per Hour

Schedule 

Day Shift | Monday–Friday | Start Time between 6:00–7:00 AM
