Nexeo HR is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team in the Salt Lake City, UT area. In this role, you’ll play a part in ensuring that all parts and products manufactured in our machine shop meet industry and customer quality standards. Responsibilities
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Record inspection results, maintain quality reports, and update databases.
• Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective parts.
• Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality defects.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical Certification or Associated Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a quality control role within a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
Schedule
Day Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Monday - Friday
