IT Shipping and Receiving Technician

Nexeo HR is seeking a dedicated IT Shipping and Receiving Technician to join our dynamic team in Sparks, NV. As an IT shipping and Receiving Technician, you will be an essential part of our IT equipment storage and distribution center, contributing to seamless operations. Your role will include managing the receipt and dispatch of IT hardware, software, and associated components. You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control, organizing storage, and safe handling procedures. Responsibilities:

• Assemble and Distribute IT Packages: Prepare, assemble, and organize IT hardware and software packages for delivery to various departments or organizational locations. Ensure all distributions are accurate, timely, and meet the specific needs of the recipients.

• Manage IT Equipment Requests: Oversee and fulfill internal requests for IT equipment, such as computers, peripherals, and networking devices. Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, and delivered efficiently.

• Inspect and Report Equipment Issues: Conduct regular inspections of IT equipment to identify damages, defects, or discrepancies. Promptly document and report any issues to the appropriate team for resolution to maintain operational efficiency.

• Maintain Warehouse Organization: Keep the IT warehouse clean, well-organized, and fully compliant with safety standards and company protocols.

• Coordinate Outgoing Shipments: Package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments with carriers to ensure timely, secure, and accurate deliveries.

• Document Inventory Records: Maintain precise and up-to-date records of incoming and outgoing IT equipment, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and readily accessible for auditing or reporting.

• Support Hardware and Software Configuration: Assist the IT team in testing, configuring, and setting up hardware and software to meet operational requirements.

• Adhere to Industry Standards: Follow company policies and adhere to IT industry standards for the safe handling, storage, and transportation of IT equipment.

• Troubleshoot Basic IT Issues: Provide first-level support by identifying and resolving basic IT equipment issues. Escalate complex problems to the IT support team for further assistance.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with IT team members and other departments to understand their requirements and deliver proactive, efficient support tailored to their needs.

Qualifications:

• Warehouse or Inventory Management Experience Preferred: Prior experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management is highly desirable.

• IT Hardware and Software Knowledge: Familiarity with IT hardware and software, including safe handling practices for a variety of IT equipment, is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in Inventory Management Systems: Experience using inventory management software or systems is a plus and will be beneficial for efficient workflow.

• Strong Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to focus on accuracy and precision while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Physical Stamina and Strength: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects regularly, with a commitment to performing physically demanding tasks as required.

• Computer Proficiency: Basic computer literacy, including working knowledge of standard productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and other relevant software.

• Commitment to Safety and Security: A strong dedication to maintaining a safe, organized, and secure work environment in compliance with company policies and industry standards.

$23.00 Per Hour
