Nexeo HR is seeking a Hybrid Program Director for the Solar Automation Program and Business Unit PMO in Mendon, UT. This hybrid, direct hire role is pivotal in driving the execution of the program, overseeing critical program management processes, and ensuring the alignment of business objectives with Nexeo's strategic goals. As Program Director, you will report directly to the General Manager of the Construction Division, working closely with cross-functional teams to align program initiatives with corporate objectives and industry best practices. Responsibilities
• Lead Program Execution: Spearhead the Solar Automation Program from inception to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of program objectives. Proactively address challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure timely execution to achieve key milestones.
• Establish PMO Leadership: Champion the Program Management Office (PMO) within the business unit, enforcing adherence to program management standards and best practices to drive consistency and excellence across all projects.
• Strategic Alignment: Partner with leaders in product management, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless alignment between program goals and business objectives, driving strategic success.
• Manage Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for all program communications, providing transparent and timely updates to stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and fostering collaboration.
• Resource Optimization: Oversee resource allocation and capacity management across program managers, project managers, and scrum masters, ensuring the right resources are applied to meet priorities and maximize program efficiency.
• Enhance Financial Performance: Maintain strict financial oversight, monitoring program budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring profitability to maximize the value delivered through the program.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks by developing robust contingency plans, ensuring that the program stays on track and achieves its goals without disruption.
• Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, refining processes, and optimizing PMO operations to drive greater efficiency and program success.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years of program management experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing multiple complex programs or projects, ideally in the solar, automation, or technology sectors.
• Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, driving program execution, and aligning business objectives with program goals to deliver impactful results.
• PMO Governance: Expertise in establishing and maintaining PMO governance frameworks, including implementing industry-standard project management methodologies and conducting phase-gate reviews to ensure program success.
• Financial & Resource Management: Proven ability to manage program budgets, allocate resources effectively, and maintain strong financial control to drive project outcomes.
• Risk & Change Management: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, while managing scope, timelines, and resource changes to keep programs on track and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the program lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement: A strong passion for continuous improvement, with a track record of driving process optimization and operational efficiencies across teams to enhance program delivery.
• Location: Must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate.
Pay
Salary | $170k -$200k | Competitive salary based on experience
Schedule
Hybrid | Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday – Friday
*One day in office
