As an Accounting Clerk at Nexeo HR, you will assist our accounting team with a range of essential financial tasks. This role will focus on processing transactions, verifying data, handling payroll entries, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. You will play a vital part in supporting our accounting operations and maintaining organized, timely, and reliable financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
• Enter financial transactions accurately into accounting software and maintain organized records.
• Verify vendor invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile accounts.
• Assist in reconciling bank statements and other accounts to detect and correct discrepancies.
• Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collect and verify employee timesheets, hours worked, deductions, and payroll data.
• Organize and file financial documents for audits and data retention.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Communicate with vendors and team members to clarify financial questions and address accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred, especially with AP processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards.

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
• Proficient in using computers, navigating the internet, and handling software applications.
• Strong email management skills, including professional email etiquette.
Pay
$20.00 - $23.00 Per Hour | DOE
Schedule
Day Shift | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm | Monday - Friday | In-Person Only
