Nexeo is looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer (Hybrid) to be directly hired on with a dynamic team with a renowned company in headquartered in Providence, UT. You will be designing, developing, and testing electrical components for small robots and ground-based vehicles.
This role involves researching technologies, solving complex challenges and collaborating with research teams. You’ll lead advanced technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to innovative product designs. Responsibilities
• Design and develop electrical equipment, systems, components, and products for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Design and implement control systems, instruments, and applications for commercial, residential, and industrial uses.
• Design, test, and establish fabrication processes for control apparatus and equipment, defining the methods, procedures, and conditions required for effective product testing.
• Ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet all functional specifications and align with customer requirements.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Utilize computer-aided engineering and design software, along with advanced tools, to efficiently execute engineering tasks.
• Stay up-to-date with technologies by regularly researching advancements that enhance the design, development, and testing of software and applications, and actively apply this knowledge to improve processes and outcomes.
• Offer expert leadership and guidance within the technical area of specialization, ensuring best practices and fostering skill development among team members.
Qualifications
• Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Must have 5-10 years of relevant experience or training; a combination of education and experience may be considered. (7-10 years of experience preferred.).
• Must have experience with CAN-BUS systems.
• Must be proficient in functional safety analysis.
• Must be skilled in using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, including oscilloscopes and voltmeters.
• Must have expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven experience in leading the Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) process.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience with system and conceptual design.
• Familiarity with Jira Project Tracking Software.
• Understanding of Agile Methodology.
Pay
$110K - $140K Annual Salary | DOE
Schedule
Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Monday – Friday
*Must be able to get on a 1-2x weekly call with contacts in Australia in the 4-6pm hours.
*Hybrid role: Two days a week (Tuesdays required) onsite but must be willing to work 4-5 days onsite when needed. Travel: Less than 10% of the time but could include international visits to work sites.
