Cost Accountant

Nexeo is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join an exciting and fast-paced company in the Springville, Utah area. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost data to provide valuable insights that drive financial decision-making and optimize operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Maintain global pricing information, including manufacturing and purchase costs for all products.

• Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate pricing structures in the system.

• Partner with Sales to create pack, promo, and specialty pricing that supports product sales.

• Develop and submit pricing models for approval across all markets worldwide.

• Assist with creating employee product pricing for internal approval.

• Prepare and submit VAT reports monthly and quarterly.

• Handle monthly tax reports and approve VAT returns prepared by international accounting firms.

• Conduct cost analysis for both existing and new products.

• Utilize Bill of Materials (BOM) costing to identify cost changes and inform management.

• Work closely with R&D to develop cost breakdowns for new products.

• Provide customs cost information to the logistics team.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding all pricing and cost information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with 2-4 years of cost accounting experience (or an equivalent combination of both).

• Proficiency with Oracle, Exigo, and ERP systems.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office programs.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Solid understanding of inventory valuation and its impact on financial statements.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Pay

$70,000 - $80,000 annually DOE

Schedule

Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday – Friday
