Senior Project Accountant

Nexeo is looking for a skilled Senior Project Accountant to bring expertise in the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) industry and proficiency with Deltek software (Ajera, Vision, or VantagePoint). This role includes leading a small team of 1-2 individuals and working cross-functionally to refine and improve financial processes, procedures, and system functionalities. This is a direct-hire position for a driven professional ready to take their accounting skills to the next level.

Responsibilities 

•  Project Financial Management: Set up and verify project accounts, and generate detailed financial reports.

•  Invoice Management: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to meet project deadlines.

•  Project Success: Assist project managers in overseeing the financial health of projects, providing insights and financial tracking.

•  Audit Participation: Support project audits and ensure all financial practices align with standards.

•  Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process sub-consultant invoices and manage collections, analyzing receivables for prompt follow-up.

•  Team Supervision: Lead a small team, providing guidance, and support, and promoting a collaborative environment.

•  Process Improvement: Collaborate across teams to improve project processes. 

Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

•  1-5 years of experience in accounting roles, ideally within the engineering, construction, or architectural sectors.

•  Deltek Software Experience: Prior use of Deltek (Ajera, Vision, or VantagePoint) is required.

•  Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•  High attention to detail and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay 

$65K - $80K Per Year

Schedule 

Full Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm
