Nexeo HR is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This is a temporary position with the potential to become temp-to-hire based on performance. As a Project Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting project management with cost accounting, invoicing, and financial success. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities and multi-directional communication skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist with project setup, cost accounting, and report verification.
• Ensure timely invoicing and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial success.
• Support audits and review sub-consultant invoices.
• Analyze and report accounts receivable and collection statuses.
• Assist in process improvements for better efficiency.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
• Proficiency in MS Office and 10-key by touch.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-changing environment.
• Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-5 years of related work experience, with a preference for engineering, construction, or architecture industries.
• Deltek software experience, especially Vantagepoint, is highly preferred.
Pay
$24.00 - $31.00 Per Hour
Schedule
Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm
