Cabinet Painter/Finisher

Nexeo is seeking an expert Cabinet Painter/Finisher to manage the paint bay for high-end custom cabinetry. The ideal candidate is not only a master at applying stains, paints, and finishes but also an effective communicator and leader capable of overseeing a small team. This role demands attention to detail, the ability to meet high-quality standards, and expertise in finishing techniques.

Responsibilities 

•  Prepare wooden surfaces for painting and finishing, including sanding, filling, and priming.

•  Apply a variety of finishes, such as paints, stains, lacquers, and custom treatments.

•  Ensure flawless color matching and precision in all finishing work.

•  Manage and lead the paint department to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.

•  Collaborate closely with designers and production teams to achieve consistent, high-end results.

•  Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety guidelines.

•  Oversee multiple projects, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

•  Minimum of 5 years of experience in cabinet finishing or a similar role.

•  Expertise in various finishing techniques including staining, glazing, and painting.

•  Proven ability to mix and match colors with precision (demonstration required in the interview).

•  Strong attention to detail and consistency in producing high-quality finishes.

•  Ability to lead a team, give and receive feedback, and manage multiple projects.

•  Familiarity with painting tools, equipment, and modern technology for finishing.

•  Strong communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.

•  Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

•  Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technology

Pay 

$60K - $80K Per Year

Schedule 

Day shift | 45 -55 hours per week |Typically 6:30am – 3:00pm
