Nexeo HR is hiring a dedicated Maintenance Technician to maintain community properties in Tucson, AZ. If you have a knack for fixing things and a passion for hands-on work, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on apartment units and common areas.
Respond promptly to resident service requests and ensure a resolution within 3 hours.
Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
Manage scheduled maintenance tasks, coordinate with vendors, and communicate effectively with residents.
Maintain the high standards set by property management and ensure resident satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Preferred one year of hands-on general maintenance experience or a strong aptitude for mechanical work.
Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
Experience with, or ability to quickly learn, repairs in electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and pools
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of multitasking.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and participation in a rotating on-call duty for emergencies.
Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and walk, stand, kneel for prolonged periods, and climb a ladder. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Successfully pass a preemployment background screening and drug test in accordance with all state and federal regulations.

Certifications: (Candidates without required certifications must obtain certification upon employment)

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE, plus quarterly bonus potential!

Schedule:

Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 9 AM - 6 PM | (8 AM - 5 PM could be accommodated if necessary)

*On-Call Rotation: 2 weeks on-call every 6 weeks with additional compensation.

Compensation and Additional Benefits:

Rent Discount: 30% off at selected properties offered after 60 days of employment.
Bonus Opportunities:
Minicaps: 10 tasks assigned at the beginning of each quarter (e.g., paint touch-up in the clubhouse). $20 bonus per task completed, up to $200 potential per quarter ($800 annually).
Quarterly Inspections: Property is graded on upkeep and general maintenance. Bonus max is up to $200 per quarter ($800 annually). For example, a 90% score would result in a $180 bonus.
Tool Allowance: Up to $400 annually to purchase tools or items that improve job efficiency, with ownership retained by the employee.
