Mechanical Assembler

Nexeo HR is seeking Mechanical Assembly workers for an awesome company in the North Salt Lake City, UT area. The Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. They verify the correct quantities of component parts and quality-check completed items, manage parts inventory, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products.

Responsibilities

•   Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.

•   Use various machines and hand tools such as a handheld screw, drill gun, and rivet tools to accomplish assigned tasks.

•   Assemble equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.

•   Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

•   Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.

•   Test finished products for defects.

•   Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Qualifications

•   Proven experience as an assembler.

•   Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

•   Must have experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, and other tools as assigned).

•   Must have your own tools or willing to purchase personal tools is required.

•   Knowledge of basic electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical skills required.

•   Knowledge of how to operate a pallet jack.

•   Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment.

•   Adherence to all quality systems procedures and policies.

•   Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

•   Performs all tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

•   Attendance/Punctuality – be consistently at work and on time.

Pay

$15.00 - $18.00 Per Hour

Schedule

Day Shift | 5:00am – 3:30pm | Monday – Thursday
