TIG Welder

Nexeo HR has partnered with a company that is seeking TIG Welders in the North Salt Lake City, UT area. TIG Welders will join fabricated components to achieve desired results by using appropriate welding techniques by following specified welding procedures per ATMI and customer requirements.

Responsibilities 

•   Use gas tungsten arc equipment in the fabrication process.

•   Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.

•   Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on production requirements.

•   Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements).

•   Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.

•   Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.

•   Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).

Qualifications 

•   Must be qualified welders in GTAW Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, GMAW Gas Metal Arc Welding, FCAW Flux Core Arc Welding for sheet metal and/or light structural steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

•   Proven experience as a welder.

•   Experience using a variant of welding equipment and procedures.

•   Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).

•   Must be able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

•   Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment.

•   Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.

•   All applicants will be expected to pass relevant testing procedures for qualification records.

Pay 

$19.00 - $24.00 Per Hour

Schedule 

Day Shift | 5:00am – 3:30pm | Monday – Thursday
