Machine Operator – Part-Time Weekends/1st Shift

Summary: The Production Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring the production process, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations. This role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to follow instructions accurately, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of manufacturing operations. The operator will play a vital role in producing high-quality products while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Operate production machinery and equipment, such as injection mold machines following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Assembly of various plastic components, plus deburring, trimming, and cutting.
- Monitor production processes, making adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality and efficiency
- Perform routine equipment inspections and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and prevent defects
- Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet production targets and deadlines
- Conduct quality checks on products, ensuring they meet established specifications and quality standards
- Accurately record production data, including quantities, downtime, and any deviations from the norm
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Comply with all safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe working environment
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve skills, knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the production department
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous manufacturing and/or machine operation experience preferred but will train.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle materials
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production documentation
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, carrying, and standing for extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
PAY RATE: $17.00/hr
SHIFT: 1st/Days Part Time: Saturdays and Sundays 6:00am to 2:30pm
LOCATION: Westminster, near 120th and I-25

PPE – must have steel toed or composite toed shoes
