BASIC FUNCTION:

Produces packaged candies according to Standard Operating Procedures and specified quality standards. Carries out specific instructions from Production Manager in accordance with the daily packaging schedule.

TEAMWORK RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field. Relies on instructions, pre-established guidelines, experience and judgment to perform the functions of the job and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks autonomously and with proficiency; Works under general supervision. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRINCIPAL

• On a daily basis, receives instruction from Production Manager with regard to type and quantity of products to be packed;

• Transports pallets of product from packaging staging area to individual packaging machine and/or packaging lines;

• Maintains proper level of product, from plastic trays, on the conveyor belt;

• Visually inspects product on the conveyor belt and rejects candies that are unacceptable based on the company’s quality specifications;

• Manually weighs product into each bag or carton, ensuring that weights are in accordance with the instructions from Production Manager

• Arranges cartons of packed candy in a uniform manner onto wooden pallets, and affixes a production/inventory tag on each pallet of packed product;

• Maintains cleanliness and regular upkeep of packaging area and all equipment and utensils found therein; and; • Observe and follow safety procedures;

• Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP);

• Take responsibility for producing high quality product in each step of production;

• Maintain clean work area.

• Participate in all necessary training is required to successfully perform job responsibilities.
