Production / Counter Top Fabricator - 1st Shift 7am - 4pm

Position Summary:
Fabricate custom counter tops by setting up, operating, or tending woodworking machines, such as table saws, routers, sanders, miter saws, beam saws, and wood nailing machines.

Skills & Abilities:
• Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to oral

or written instructions, drawings, or work orders.

• Feed stock through feed mechanisms or conveyors into planning, shaping, boring, mortising, or sanding machines to produce desired components.

• Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together, or to press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.

• Set up, operate, and tend woodworking machines such as table saws, sanders, jointers, and routers that cut and

shape components from lumber, plywood, and other wood products.

• Trim wood parts according to specifications, using planes, chisels, and wood files or sanders.

• Clean and maintain products, machines, and work areas.

• Adjust machine tables or cutting devices and set controls on machines to produce specified cuts or operations.

• Monitor operation of machines, and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to

specifications.

• Set up or tend manual woodworking machines, such as table saws, routers, sanders, planers, and wood-nailing

machines.

• Install and adjust blades, cutterheads, boring-bits, or sanding-belts, using hand tools and rules.

• Inspect pulleys, drive belts, guards, and fences on machines to ensure that machines will operate safely.

Physical Demands:

• Lift up to 100 lbs. (Frequently)

• Stand for long periods

• Must be able to bend, stoop and twist

Pay Rate

$12.00/hr. 1^st Shift (7am-4pm)
