Packaging and distribution company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our production and facility operations by performing advanced maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on a wide range of industrial equipment.

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Auburn, WA
Pay: $30/hr. - $35/hr. (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Summary:

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime through expert-level work on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated control systems. The Senior Technician will diagnose complex issues, execute preventive maintenance programs, and interpret technical schematics and equipment documentation with precision.

In addition to hands-on technical work, this position provides leadership within the maintenance team by mentoring junior technicians, coordinating repair efforts, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and overall operational performance.


This is a critical role in a fast-paced industrial environment and requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.


Leading or mentoring less-experienced maintenance staff; coordinating maintenance activities; possibly managing contractors.

Ensuring minimal downtime, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining maintenance logs, spare-parts inventories, and safety/compliance protocols.


Often working in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment, may require shift work (2nd/3rd shift), sometimes overtime or on-call response. The “senior” level implies significant experience (often 5-10 + years), mastery of multiple trade disciplines (electrician, instrumentation, mechanical), and often supervisory or lead responsibilities.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of AC and DC motors, VFD drives, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to effectively perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Proficient in interpreting mechanical blueprints, electrical schematic drawings, and PLC logic diagrams.
  • Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally using proper techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
