Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the monthly financial close process, including review and approval of journal entries

  • Prepare and publish monthly financial statements and executive-level financial reports

  • Oversee and manage the annual external audit process and other required internal/external audits

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and organizational policies

  • Monitor daily cash flow and short-term cash needs

  • Design and support the annual operating and capital budget process, collaborating with leadership

  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to executive leadership and business partners

  • Supervise and develop staff accountants, including performance check-ins and annual reviews

  • Assign, track, and report on team KPIs and individual goals

  • Support implementation of new accounting standards and special finance projects as needed

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within accounting systems and CMMS tools


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field

  • Active CPA license (Illinois required)

  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and leadership

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Experience leading audits, budgeting, and month-end close

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting/ERP systems

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment


Schedule & Pay

  • Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

  • Salary: $143,000 - $150,000 annually (based on experience, education, and credentials)
