Position Overview

A confidential client in the education consulting and reimbursement services industry is seeking a Part-Time Claims & Data Processor to support claims processing, data entry, and compliance documentation.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate data handling and regulatory compliance for education-related reimbursement programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment after an initial onboarding period.


The position will require 1–2 weeks of on-site training, followed by fully remote work, with occasional in-office attendance for quarterly staff meetings only.


Key Responsibilities

Claims Processing & Data Entry

  • Accurately enter and process large volumes of data in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain speed and accuracy benchmarks as established by management
  • Review billing logs and compliance documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Research and reconcile data against previously logged services
  • Perform self-audits and correct errors as identified
  • Document client-specific processes to ensure consistency and transparency
  • Safeguard sensitive data in compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Utilize internal software platforms and reporting tools to support data processing and reporting needs

Program Knowledge & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of billing practices and program regulations
  • Understand documentation requirements tied to reimbursement programs
  • Stay current on internal systems, workflows, and compliance updates

Collaboration & Communication

  • Participate in required meetings (virtual and occasional in-person)
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams via email, phone, and messaging platforms
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative support roles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and navigate new software systems
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work remotely in a productive, secure environment
  • Availability to work 20–30 hours per week
  • Willingness to attend occasional in-office meetings or trainings as required


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily sedentary, computer-based work
  • Extended use of keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment
  • Occasional travel to the office for training or quarterly meetings
  • Light lifting may be required on occasion
