Pay Rate: $15.50
Shift: Monday- Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Job Summary: The Battery Sorter will work with other members of Operations to assure production goals are met based on assigned department areas including CPU’s, CRT’s, LCD’s, DLP, sorting e-waste, or reuse and recycle (R&R) by properly sorting and packaging batteries by chemistry for shipment.
Responsibilities:
The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. • Sorts batteries by separating various chemistries into certain containers so that they can be shipped accordingly. • Package batteries accordingly taping off terminals and labeling containers based on regulations and guidelines • As needed, teams-up with a partner to lift anything over 50lbs. • Keeps area clean by sweeping 10 minutes before a break and before end of the shift. • Help properly receive material within assigned areas. • Ensures all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and properly dresses for job duties. • Helps monitor inventory of necessary tools and supplies used such as boxes and labels are stocked. • Notify EH&S of any safety concerns and violations, PPE defects or need for replacement of safety equipment. • Works to ensure maximum production accuracy and efficiency to ensure production goals are achieved. • Works to achieve least amount of costs by properly maintaining assigned supplies, tools, or PPE. • Work assigned schedule based on demands set forth by management. • Informs management on issues like safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, etc. within assigned areas Minimum
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred;
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred;
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to meet set goals • Good reading and writing skills • Have a positive attitude • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds: and to bend, stoop walk, reach overhead. • Ability to push/pull, squat, twist, and turn without adverse physical injury is mandatory
