CNC Mills Machinist- 3rd shift

Mills Machinst with Okuma  machine experience preferred not necessary. 

Training days for now 5:30am- 4:00pm and will transition to weekend shift in the next month or so to Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00am -6:30pm  work 36 and paid for 40.  

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mill Machinist to operate milling machines and produce precision metal parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with manual and CNC milling equipment, a strong understanding of technical drawings, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate milling machines (manual and/or CNC) to produce parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to improve processes and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience as a mill machinist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in operating manual and CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a machine shop environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or machine shop setting.
• May require standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
