Job Summary
A confidential emergency services organization is seeking a dependable Ambulance Detailer / Fleet Detail Technician to support daily operations by maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and professional appearance of ambulances and company vehicles. This role plays a critical part in ensuring vehicles meet high cleanliness and infection-control standards and that facilities and surrounding grounds are well maintained.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and detail the exterior of ambulances and company vehicles
- Clean and sanitize the interior of ambulances to healthcare-level cleanliness standards, with attention to patient safety
- Detail interior of administrative and support vehicles
- Operate cleaning equipment including buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and related tools
- Use appropriate cleaning, protective, and restorative products to maintain vehicle appearance
- Move and stage vehicles within company facilities and parking areas
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of parking areas, walkways, landscaping areas, gutters, and exterior trash receptacles
- Perform janitorial duties in offices, breakrooms, and interior facilities as assigned
- Assist with basic grounds maintenance including mowing, weed control, leaf removal, and general upkeep
- Maintain daily task logs and required documentation
- Travel to satellite or outlying locations as assigned to perform cleaning and janitorial services
- Occasionally assist maintenance staff with basic support tasks (e.g., moving furniture, light demolition, safety watch)
- Follow all safety, infection control, and company policies at all times
Additional Responsibilities
- Attend required meetings and trainings
- Communicate promptly with management regarding issues, concerns, or unusual occurrences
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Flexibility to adjust to changing daily priorities
- Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment preferred
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License
- Must be insurable under company driving standards
- Minimum age requirement applies
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role
Physical Requirements (Summary)
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs (occasionally more with assistance)
- Frequent use of hands for gripping, handling tools, and cleaning equipment
- Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, and working on wet or slippery surfaces

- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, noise, and varying weather conditions
