Journeyman Machinist - Busy, local and established machine shop is looking for an experienced Journeyman Machinist. This Journeyman Machinist will create precise parts from blueprints and specifications, operate all machinery (manual and CNC), ensure precise measurements and accuracy to meet tight tolerances, troubleshooting, quality control checks and other various shop duties.
This is a long term, full time position in Bakersfield! The hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. HOURLY RATE IS NEGOTIABLE. Call Kristy for more information at 661-695-5117. Company offers an excellent benefit package along with a 401k Retirement plan (with a match)!
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years experience as a Journeyman Machinist
- Ability to read blueprints to determine equipment and material needed
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Experience and knowledge of all measuring tools
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements
- Experience with welding techniques is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid California Driver's License
