Job Title: Heavy Equipment & Diesel Shop Mechanic

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Shop Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of our fleet, ranging from diesel trucks to heavy equipment. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and understands the importance of minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on diesel engines and heavy machinery.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and safety inspections to ensure equipment longevity.
Engine Overhauls: Assist with or lead diesel engine rebuilds and component replacements (injectors, turbos, water pumps).
System Maintenance: Service transmissions, brake systems (air and hydraulic), cooling systems, and drivetrains.
Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, log parts used, and update maintenance software/logs.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3–5+ years of professional experience working on diesel engines.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic softwar
Licensing: Valid Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B is a major plus).
Preferred Skills
ASE Diesel Certifications or manufacturer's training,
Hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Experience with aftertreatment systems (DEF/DPF).
