Driver Helper – Warehouse & Delivery Support
Location: Maryland Heights, MO (near the 270 corridor)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (occasional overtime, no weekends)
Pay: $20/hr., depending on experience
Overview:
We’re partnering with a well-established building materials company to hire a Driver Helper. This role supports delivery and warehouse operations, assisting with loading, unloading, staging products, and accompanying drivers on deliveries. Key Responsibilities:
Start shift at 6:00 AM by assisting with offloading inbound deliveries.
Scan, sort, and stage products in designated warehouse zones.
Help load trucks for daily delivery routes.
Ride along on deliveries of large products to residential homes and job sites.
Assist with two-person deliveries for heavy or oversized items, ensuring safe handling.
Support basic delivery documentation and communication with warehouse staff.
Operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and truck area.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 150 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Comfortable working on feet and handling large, bulky products.
Climate-controlled warehouse environment.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
Clean background: no felonies, violent crimes, sex offender status, or drug possession charges.
Must pass a 10-panel drug test (includes marijuana).
Professional appearance and communication skills; will interact with customers and contractors.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a team environment.
(No driving license or MVR requirements for this helper role.)
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
Previous warehouse or delivery experience.
Handling large building materials (windows, doors, construction materials).
Operating forklifts or pallet jacks.
Familiarity with the St. Louis metro area.
