Job Title: Temporary Warehouse Material Sorter
Pay Rate: $15/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Location: Heated warehouse environment
Job Description:
We are seeking temporary Material Sorters to assist with sorting used railroad materials and palletizing them for shipment. This role involves identifying, testing, and organizing joint bars using provided sample rail pieces. After testing, materials will be sorted, stacked onto designated pallets, and prepared for shipment through banding, stretch-wrapping, and labeling with quantity and weight information.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort and test-fit used railroad joint bars using provided sample rail pieces
Stack materials uniformly onto pallets based on test results
Band, wrap, and label completed pallets
Follow safety protocols and maintain an organized work area
Requirements:
Ability to use a tape measure
Ability to lift approximately 30 pounds to table height repeatedly
Ability to stack materials neatly and consistently
Forklift certification is a plus but not required
