The Material Handler supports injection molding operations by keeping machines stocked with the right materials, resins, colorants, and additives. You’ll also track inventory, perform material changes, grind scrap, and help maintain a clean and efficient work area.
Responsibilities:
Deliver raw materials, resins, and colorants to machines as scheduled
Set up and load hoppers and dryers per production needs
Monitor material levels and report shortages
Perform material and color changes as needed
Operate grinders to reprocess scrap material
Maintain proper labeling and storage of materials
Record material usage and movements accurately
Clean and maintain material handling equipment
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
Assist with mold changeovers and production floor cleanup
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in a plastics or manufacturing environment is a plus Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
