Location: Central California
A leading and established nursery operation is seeking an experienced Head Grower to oversee greenhouse and field production. This role is critical to the success of the organization and requires a proven leader with a strong technical background in horticulture, crop management, and team development.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of crop production, including propagation, irrigation, pest and disease management, and overall plant health.
Lead and develop a team of growers and production staff to meet quality, yield, and efficiency goals.
Collaborate with senior leadership on production planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Implement and maintain best practices in greenhouse and field operations to maximize efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
7+ years of commercial growing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in greenhouse operations, pest management, irrigation systems, and crop nutrition.
Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively across departments.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
