Estimator – Electrical Construction
Location: Riverside, CA (projects within ~100 miles)
Compensation: $90,000 – $145,000 annually
Legacy Career Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading Southern California electrical contractor. We are seeking an Electrical Project Estimator to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys problem-solving, and is motivated by preparing precise and competitive estimates for public works and commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects (typically $300K–$6M).
Perform quantity takeoffs, analyze drawings/specifications, and review historical cost data.
Manage all estimating tasks independently for assigned bids and projects.
Provide value engineering suggestions to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Attend job walks, draft RFIs, and follow up on submitted bids.
Support project turnover by ensuring Operations receives complete documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
4–7 years of estimating or related construction experience.
Experience with public works projects (K–12 schools strongly preferred); hospital/healthcare project estimating a plus.
Proficiency in estimating software (Trimble Accubid, LiveCount, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple bids.
