Job Title: Quality Performance Registered Nurse I

Pay Rate: $45/hour


About the Role

Under the direction of the Quality Performance Director, the Quality Performance RN I assists in monitoring, assessing, and improving healthcare delivery and services. This position supports quality initiatives, conducts medical record and site reviews, and participates in projects that enhance preventive care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in quality initiatives and ensure compliance with state and federal standards.

  • Conduct HEDIS and HEDIS-like chart reviews, provider site reviews, and facility assessments (may require state certification).

  • Analyze data, identify problems, recommend solutions, and track outcomes.

  • Educate providers and members on preventive care and quality measures.

  • Prepare reports, assist with staff training, and support quality improvement projects.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure documentation meets regulatory standards.

  • Up to 25% travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nursing License (in good standing).

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

  • Certification in Quality Improvement/Assurance highly desired.

  • 2+ years RN experience in direct patient care preferred.

  • 1+ year in Utilization Management, Quality Improvement, or Managed Care desired.

  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, managed care regulations, and HEDIS measures.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance required.
