Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this position will include, but not be limited to:
? Understand the inspection plan provided for each forging.
? Execution of the inspection plan to ensure all forged parts meet the required specifications.
? Timely and accurately document the execution of the inspection plan.
o Execute basic math skills to take measurements, calculate dimensions, and complete
quality control calculations.
o Maintain detailed records of observations and all identified quality issues.
? Communicate quality findings to Forge Supervisors, Leadmen, and Quality Manager.
o Communication may involve verbal instructions, Quality Assurance forms, or basic written
memos / instructions.
? Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
? Must be a United States person.
? A working command of the English language (verbal and written).
o Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus, but it is not required.
? High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
o Trade school certifications are desired but not required.
? 1 – 3 years of manufacturing experience.
? Experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
? Ability to perform inspections involving basic calculations using handheld measuring tools.
o Knowledgeable in the use of calipers, height gage, tape, and micrometer.
o Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
? Basic computer skills are necessary to complete computerized documentation.
