Position Summary:
A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This role will play a key part in overseeing client engagements, providing proactive tax advisory services, and mentoring staff. The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to firm growth through excellent service and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex tax engagements from planning to completion

• Review and supervise tax returns for corporations, individuals, and partnerships, including multi-state filings

• Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients

• Conduct advanced tax research and clearly document findings

• Prepare and review compiled financial statements

• Oversee and guide associates and senior associates, including training and performance management

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, ensuring timely delivery of services

• Address IRS and state tax notices, inquiries, and audits

• Support business development by participating in meetings, preparing proposals, and identifying client needs

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting

• Active CPA license

• 7+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax software such as ProSystem, Engagement, Doc.It, and Adobe

• Proven experience with tax compliance and planning for corporations, individuals, and partnerships

• Skilled in managing deadlines, client expectations, and team deliverables
