We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead major public infrastructure projects and support the city’s growth with sound engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead, review, and oversee complex civil engineering projects related to roadways, drainage, utilities, and public facilities.
Prepare, review, and stamp construction plans, reports, and engineering documents.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, inspectors, and consultants.
Coordinate with stakeholders including contractors, city departments, and the public.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards.
Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for assigned capital projects.
Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards for the engineering division.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of [State Name] (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Minimum 5–7 years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, preferably in municipal or public sector projects.
Strong knowledge of design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, etc.) and project management tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with capital improvement programs (CIP)
Familiarity with environmental permitting and stormwater regulations
Master’s degree in Engineering or Public Administration a plus
